Donald Trump has announced a “complete and total ceasefire” between Israel and Iran that would end the “12-day war” between the countries.
Following Trump’s announcement, Israel said they had achieved their goals and confirmed the suspension of fighting
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi later posted to X that no “agreement” had been reached on a ceasefire with Israel at this time.
Later Tuesday morning, IDF reported a new missile strike from Iran.
The blog brings you the latest developments on the Israel-Iran conflict and the wider crisis in the Middle East on Tuesday, June 24:
Tehran will ‘shake’ after alleged ceasefire violation, Israeli minister says
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had instructed the country’s military to “respond with force” to the missile launch from Iran toward Israel’s north, violating the ceasefire between the two sides.
Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also responded to the Iranian missile launch.
“Tehran will shake,” Smotrich posted on his X account.
The Israeli army said one or two missiles launched from Iran toward the north of Israel had been intercepted as explosions were heard in the area.
It was not immediately clear how the latest fighting will influence the ceasefire plans of US President Donald Trump.
